Journalist with 20 years of experience in the communication market, Mariana specializes in media relations and strategic planning.

For 14 years, she was the director of public and private accounts at FSB Comunicação, one of the largest communication agencies in the country. While in this position, she worked in Rio de Janeiro for 8 eight years with many clients. She was in charge of the communications plan for public hearings on the mitigation of environmental issues at Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN), the planning at Barcas S.A through the fleet renewal process, the renegotiation of the right to transport in Rio de Janeiro and also at Odebrecht Reallizações Imobiliárias, coordinating the crisis management during the dispute between the developer and the community.

While in Rio de Janeiro, she started working in the health area, organizing dissemination projects for GlaxoSmithKline, one of the world’s leaders in vaccine production, in Mexico, Belgium and the Czech Republic.

In 2011, she moved to Brasília to handle the Ministry of Health’s account. For seven years, in addition to being responsible for managing the account, she coordinated special projects, with an emphasis on the communication planning of the Mais Médicos Program and the National Vaccination Calendar. At the Mais Médicos Program, she worked in the management of complex communication crises, such as the suspected Ebola contamination in Brazil and the outbreaks of other diseases such as flu and dengue in the country. She also coordinated the training of the communications team at Hemobrás, a state company linked to the Ministry of Health, and at federal hospitals in Rio de Janeiro (NERJ).

At the Ministry of Tourism, she was Accounts Director for three years, responsible for its communication plans. She headed the multimedia team that worked at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and during meetings with tourism ministers in France, Portugal and Argentina.
